This new photograph is one that people don't recognise straight off - it is in fact taken in Bottle Lake Forest north of Christchurch. It is a walk way that not many people know exist, located at the northern end of the forest itself. I have called it "Magical Midnight Hour" and love the blue that this time of day (really night) produces. I have noted to self, that I must return to this area once more rain (heavy and constant, I suspect) has fallen to see if the ponding effect will reach to the other side of the walk way. I love the sense of mystery that the walk way produces by going off in a snake-like way into the distance. What lies beyond?
